Practice Information
It is a privilege to be part of the outstanding group of dermatologists at Jeffrey A. Klein, M.D. and Associates. I joined Dr. Jeffrey Klein’s practice in 1994 after I completed my dermatology training and a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Loma Linda University. Since joining the practice, I have had the unique opportunity to learn the art of Tumescent Liposuction from Dr. Klein, who is considered a worldwide expert in the field. In addition, I have trained at the Beckman Laser Institute and have become familiar with the latest laser technology.
I enjoy a mix of medical and cosmetic dermatology in my practice. My expertise includes Mohs Micrographic Surgery, which is a precise technique for the removal of skin cancers, followed by the cosmetic repair of the surgical wound. I also specialize in Tumescent Liposuction, which is a technique for fat removal completely by local anesthesia. To date, I have performed more than 3,000 surgeries. I am still thrilled by the excitement and gratitude that patients express at finally getting rid of their unwanted fat, and their amazement at how quick and easy the procedure and recovery actually are.
I married my husband, Vasken, a year before I joined Dr. Klein’s practice. Since then, I have had two boys, Remi and Alain (born 1995 and 1998). They both currently attend St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano. As a family, we enjoy skiing and traveling around the world. My personal hobbies include pilates, yoga, and collecting art and artifacts from around the globe. I speak several languages, including Armenian, French, Spanish, and Arabic. I owe my linguistic facility to my diverse background, being of Armenian descent and growing up in Lebanon up to my teenage years.
Being of the peri-menopausal age myself, I understand the challenges that women face as our faces and bodies change with time and hormonal fluctuations. I am particularly fond of non-invasive techniques such as the IPL (Intense Pulse Light) and Fractional lasers, and easy to use fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, which can minimize the appearance of fine lines and restore volume that is lost with age. Fortunately, science and technology have provided us with the tools for facial rejuvenation and body sculpting, but achieving natural and age-appropriate results is an art form that requires experience and an eye for beauty, which I particularly enjoy and find most rewarding.
