Dr. Wayne Day has practiced dermatologic surgery in Nashville for nineteen years. His experience in liposuction includes treatment of most areas of the body. Dr. Day performs 90 or more liposuction cases each year and has done so for the past eight years. In addition to liposuction and other procedures, he offers the latest nonsurgical skin care treatments. Dr. Day graduated with honors in 1981 from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. After internship and residency, he was board certified in 1985. In an average year, Dr. Day obtains 45 hours of continuing education. He attends liposuction update courses yearly and is a current certified provider for Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Day and his staff believe patient safety should be the top priority in liposuction. To achieve the best results, the following guidelines are followed: 1) tumescent rather than general anesthesia, 2) healthy patients with a review of current medications and supplements, 3) limit the amount of liposuction per treatment, and 4) avoid other lengthy procedures on the same day.
